Zaverchand Gaekwad Ltd. was established in 1961 with production of galvanized steel flexible conduits; and in 1976 expanded manufacturing in Metal Hoses & Bellows and marketing units in India and Malaysia and Singapore. Owing to the labour problems manufacturing at ZG’s business in 1989 was transferred to Flexican Bellows & Hoses Private Limited. which has a modern new factory at 283, GIDC, Makarpura at Baroda.

The ZG Group manufactures Bellows Expansion Joints since 1975 and are a pioneer as well as a leader in India. This product requires specialised designing and high precision manufacturing capabilities. The Metal Bellows are used in steel plants, refineries, petrochemicals, cement, power plants, fertilizers and other diverse industries which are core industries with perennial growth. The company has infrastructure and capacity to produce Bellows in sizes up to 7000 mm (dia. with present.)

The company markets the products under the registered brand name “ ”. It has established an excellent reputation for manufacturing quality products. The company’s workshop has been approved by the leading project Consultants viz. LRIS, EIL, NPC, Bureau Verities, PDIL, TOYO, BHEL, KPG, UDHE, JH&G, DNV, etc.

The company has representatives and marketing network in principal business centres. The company has developed all special purpose machinery required for manufacture of Bellows Expansion Joints with its own in-house R & D and hence capacity expansion is feasible with very low capital input.

The company has over the years enriched its technical competence through various collaborations, as in 1964 with Compoflex Company Ltd. U.K. (now known as T.I. Flexible Ltd.) and in 1970 with Aeroquip Corporation, U.S.A., and in eighties with Pathway (now Flexonics) of USA, for manufacture of the state-of-art Bellows, Compensators and Metal Hoses for very sophisticated and critical applications. The company has designed and manufactured various high precision import substitution Bellows using nickel alloys in multi-ply corrugations. Flexican was the leader in the manufacture of Bellows for Tuyre stock in Blast Furnaces in Steel Plants.
